My name is Silvia, and I am the founder of Brilliant Melodies. I began playing the violin at the age of 8, and I have since completed my Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees all in violin performance. I love playing weddings, church services, parties, and corporate events. I played frequently with the Mobile Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony, and Mobile Opera Orchestra.
Brilliant Melodies offers services throughout Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and the Gulf Shores and is proud to deliver a memorable performance on your special day. The musicians at Brilliant Melodies have played at a variety of venues and for all manner of special occasions.

Sylvia provided wonderful music to our party earlier this year! She offered a mix of classical and contemporary music, and her engaging stage presence encouraged our guests (across the generations) to stand up and to dance! It added so much to our event to have Sylvia and her musical talent with us!

Silvia plays regularly at our church. She can play any music of any style. She has played for us with a string trio accompanied on piano and organ as well as with the modern band. Always professional, friendly, on-time, and easy to work with. You can never go wrong with Brilliant Melodies!

About
My name is Silvia Rath. I'm a violinist in the Mobile, AL area. I'm a member of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra and frequently perform with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Mobile Opera Orchestra, and Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra. I've performed a variety of recitals, educational programs, and outreach and community concerts in the United States, Italy, and Ireland. I play weddings with solo violin, as well as with backing tracks. I also play in a string trio and a string quartet with friends and colleagues from the Mobile Symphony Orchestra.

As a violinist, I’ve been deeply inspired by both classical legends and modern crossover artists. From the expressive phrasing of Itzhak Perlman and the elegance of Hilary Hahn to the innovative styles of Lindsey Stirling and the cinematic power of film composers like Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer, each has shaped the way I approach performance.
I love blending classical technique with modern flair, which enables me to create music that feels both timeless and emotionally resonant, making it perfect for weddings and special events. My goal is always to create an unforgettable atmosphere through music that speaks to the heart.
