Brandon Kareem is a writer, singer and producer. He hails from Texarkana, Tx a city on the border of Texas and Arkansas. He started music at a young age singing in a church choir writing his first song at the age of seven. That was only the beginning of his story with music. At the age of 16 along with his childhood friends he began to sing around the city in a group known as Brothers With Potential or BWP for short. By the time he was 25 he had done hundreds of shows across the south opening up for acts such as jazz greats Spyra Gyra, Zapp And Roger, Jagged Edge, Yin Yang Twins , Frankie Beverly and Maze,Tank , Dougie Fresh, Hope Flood etc.. During this time frame he also was a show promoter providing different showcases for different young artist in the area with an avenue to perform and promote their music. In 2009 he released a underground album Phase 1 which did moderately well independently. In 2012 Brandon Kareem released his single Playing With My Heart it was picked up by several stations. His current Ep Life Love & Liquor was released on Itunes on 10/2 and has garnered much support reaching #5 on Itunes new rb/soul charts holding its on with Tinashe & Tamar Braxtons new albums not bad for a indie artist!
