Bossa Jazz provides a unique blend of Brazilian-influenced music and classic jazz standards. Rhythmic and up-tempo Rio de Janiero Blue and Mas Que Nada are complimented by sultry, bossa-style original tunes Drifting with the Tide and Before I Said Hello. Some tunes are sung in Portuguese, others in English. Jazz standards can add variety, a bit of nostalgia, and old-style charm to your event. Depending the venue and your needs, Bossa Jazz can perform as a trio, quartet, or full band. For those cherish blues, we also have a broad repertoire of blues and classic rock and will host a Blues Jam if that's what you'd like to do.

Karen loves Brazilian music. As a teen she wore out every Jobim, Gilberto, and Sergio Mendes album she could afford. Creating Bossa Jazz enabled her to sing songs she loves, some in Portuguese. An award winning song writer, she sings about this in Find Out: Unlock your dream, get out there and try it! She sings and plays bass in KGB Band. Co-founder of She Rock She Rock, home of the Girls Rock n Roll Retreat, she has been instrumental in empowering women and girls through the art of music. Her psychology doctorate has aided in that endeavor.
While Bossa Jazz is our specialty, we also play jazz standards, blues, and acoustic Beatles tunes.
