Bonita Joy

Bonita Yoder was introduced to ventriloquism when her first cousin, Clinton Detweiler (who later owned the famed Maher Studios of Ventriloquism), performed ventriloquism at a family reunion when Bonita was about 5. She knew Woody was not real but she was intrigued by him. At the age of 16, Bonita sat in front of a mirror for hours at a time and taught herself ventriloquism after reading a book by Paul Winchell. She also became involved with the magic club, Wizards of Wichita, while in high school.
She started performing at birthday parties. While in college and law school, she performed at annual statewide conventions. During Bonita's last year law school, one of her talent agents in Kansas City offered her a 9-month contract performing for school assembly programs twice a day. Bonita turned down the offer to focus on opening a law practice.
Law practice took her primary focus for too many years but now Bonita Yoder has returned to her first loves of ventriloquism and magic. As a ventriloquist turned lawyer turned ventriloquist, one of her available routines is
"Ask The Attorney".
Bonita Yoder's primary geographical areas of emphasis have previously been the Midwest and Colorado but she is now available nationally and in certain circumstances, internationally.
