May 11, 2026Svetlana and team are some of the most professional people I've ever worked with. From start to finish, every base was covered. They also had a huge list of songs in their repertoire. I don't think I've ever seen dancers more in sync! Their passion for Indian dance culture shined bright through their performance and our guests absolutely loved it. They are a must have at any event!

Svetlana Tulasi (born August 30, 1991 in Moscow, Russia) was born to a mixed Indian & Russian family.
Svetlana grew up in Moscow - a modern megapolis where mainstream western culture and lifestyle dominates. She's been watching Bollywood movies and Bollywood dance videos as well as Tollywood movies and songs from an early age. Her multicultural background has become a foundation that shaped her global mindset.
Svetlana got her training in Indian Classical Kathak dance under her Guru ji Yekaterina Yurievna Seliviorstova (Katya ji), a Russian graduate of the National Institute of Kathak - Kathak Kendra (Delhi, India), who got her training from National Award winning Smt. Urmila Nagar ji (Jaipur Gharana of Kathak), a Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee. Svetlana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kathak Dance from Prayag Sangeet Samiti University of Indian Classical Music & Dance (Allahabad, India).
Svetlana's first major breakthrough was upon her appearance with an Indian Classical Dance to a Bollywood song at the Ukraine's Got Talent TV show in 2013, that has caught attention of wide audiences and eventually went viral on the internet with over 20 million views to date. Some of the other TV shows where Svetlana presented Kathak dance since then include: Russia's Got Talent in 2017 with Kumar Sharma, So You Think You Can Dance (Ukraine) as a choreographer, Dance Plus (India) again with Kumar Sharma and many others.
Svetlana starred as a lead in several music videos including Zee Music Company's "Hanju - Tears of Happiness" by Vanit Bakshi, "Laage Re Nain" by Sufiscore and "Trilokam" by world fusion music band Indialucia.
Svetlana has also acted as a lead and choreographer for a TIC TAC TV commercial in Russia.
In 2018 Svetlana starred as self in a short documentary film Indian Classical Dancer covering her story of the real reasons why she chose becoming an Indian Classical dancer as her lifelong career.
