SET UP TIME:
We arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to a booked time to set up and soundcheck before your guests arrive. Earlier access depending on the performance area and the size of the sound system required for your event. For a surprise marriage proposal, setup is 2 minutes. For a party with 500 guests, setup is at least 2 hours.

SPACE REQUIRED:
You'll need to provide a 6' x 8' FLAT space with access to electricity. It will need to be completely shaded and protected from the elements, including heat and cold.

LENGTH OF BOOKING:
A typical booking is 1-3 hours of music. For weddings, that often includes the ceremony/cocktail hour or reception/dinner. For corporate events, that could include cocktail hour and dinner. There is no discount for downtime between performances. We take a 15 minute break each hour after the first 2 hours.

MUSICAL STYLES:
Our repertoire includes popular Bollywood songs, mostly from after 2000s and Western pop favorites. Our goal is to please you and your guests by setting exactly the right tone - we work with you to get exactly the right song choices for your event.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:
Since it takes us several weeks to create our custom backing tracks and unique arrangements for each song, special requests are at our discretion and may require an additional fee or be declined as not appropriate for our sound. But we get our best song ideas from clients, so feel free to ask and make suggestions.

ATTIRE:
We can wear very formal or more casual Indian attire, formal black western attire (tuxedo or white tie and tails/evening gown) or nice business attire - whatever fits the ambience of your event.

OUT OF TOWN EVENTS:
If your event requires an overnight stay, there will be an additional travel and accommodation fee added.

BOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA is two professional violinists who blend the vibrancy, energy and glamour of Indian popular songs with the easy charm of the Golden State - lyrical romantic songs and upbeat dance numbers - the perfect addition to weddings, corporate events, receptions and any excuse for a party. As well as loving the emotion of Bollywood songs, we've both logged many years performing for symphonies, big name stage acts, high-end special events and movie soundtracks.

A typical service provides music for your wedding cocktail hour, dinner, reception or background music for your party. Our range of moods and customizable sound system makes us perfect for events from 2-350 guests, and we work directly with your DJ to get even more coverage for larger events.

SPACE REQUIRED:
6' x 8' flat space with easy access to electricity that is COMPLETELY protected from sun, heat, cold, and any dampness. We have a cable limit of approximately 25 feet from our stationary equipment. We are able to provide wireless bridal entrances on request.

SOUND SYSTEM:
We provide our own modular sound system that can be adjusted to fill any space from a living room to a ballroom. For very large events, we can patch our sound into the venue/DJ's sound system. Since we customize our system to fit your space, we can easily perform at a comfortable volume level for your guests in an intimate space or bring appropriate equipment for stages and large spaces.

STAGE/LIGHTING:
For larger events, many clients like to have us on a stage with lighting. It should be at least 8' x 8' and have easy access to electricity and safe steps. Please work with your event planner to arrange. We're happy to connect with them to make sure everything is a good fit.

CONNECTING TO YOUR DJ'S SYSTEM:
Often, the best sound coverage will be for us to connect to your DJ's system. If you'd like us to connect to your DJ's system, we'll need to be close enough to run a cable safely between our setup and theirs. Please work with your planner to make sure that's possible as you put your plan together.

OTHER:
Please provide drinking water and bathroom access.
