Bob Planner is a professional accordion player and vocalist who has performed at major venues throughout Georgia. His inspiration to play the accordion came from my ancestors who left Germany in the 1800s. Seeking a better life, they settled in Dayton, Ohio, where Bob was born. Growing up and listening to his parents, his uncle, and well-known accordionist, Robert Yahle, and Frankie Yankovic play the accordion, Bob became inspired to play the instrument at age 6.
When it comes to a party, Bob Planner plays acoustic accordion and synthesized accordion, which is available as a solo strolling accordion for Octoberfests, Italian, French, and cocktail hour. Also available as a duo or trio and some impressive yodeling, and even the German sing-a-long Schnitzelbank Song. Depending on the event and client choice.
Bob appears for private parties, birthday parties, weddings, and corporate events, for all occasions. His German band, Bob And The Bavarians, features accordion, trumpet, and tuba, and is a group dedicated to having fun while promoting Bavarian and German Music, international and European music, and a big selection of various types of music is available for parties and Octoberfests.
He has performed at numerous venues throughout Atlanta, from country clubs to the Ritz Carlton Buckhead for (Lancome Cosmetic Company and Epilepsy Ascn) to the Ms. Georgia Senior America Pageant.
Performed in Fiddler on the Roof at Jewish Theatre of the South and in the Sewanee Summer Music Festival at University Of The South, Sewanee, TN., and the Intercontinental Hotel in Atlanta, Ga.
