Blaq Orpheus is a very versatile R&B, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, and Jazz band serving (mainly) the Washington, D.C./Baltimore region. We excel at providing a total package of great musicianship, vocals, sound engineering, presentation (lighting, wardrobe) and overall professionalism. We make it easy...you book us...we do the rest. No drama.
We also perform at as a 4-piece jazz quartet for those clients who are interested in having background music for banquets, weddings, parties, or any other occasions. Just let us know, and we will tailor our setup and music for the event.

Setup requirements
We will require adequate access to at least two sources of power and a 10' x 12' stage or flat (uninterrupted) space. For outdoor events we will require sufficient covering to protect electrical electrical equipment from inclement weather or direct sunli
We can provide our own equipment or work with the venue or DJ's sound system (when applicable).
We will require a minimum of 60 minutes setup and 45 minutes for breakdown depending on the layout of the venue and performance space.
