"Black Olive Jazz" features artist, Kay Kostopoulos, an elegant singer, actress and Stanford professor, with a voice inspired by the golden age of jazz; and Noel Jewkes, Bay Area Saxophone Legend, . (link hidden). Kay is also a multi percussionist paying homage to enduring masters Duke Ellington & Dizzy Gillespie in the “world music” genre. Kay has been featured venues and jazz festivals including the Sonoma, Napa, Healdsburg, Vallejo, Sacramento, Palo Alto, and Fillmore Jazz Festivals. Her album, "Exotica", a Mediterranean Jazz Journey, has rave reviews, honored at Stanford Humanities.

Performing classic songs from enduring masters of the art form, such as Duke Ellington, the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hart, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter; and songwriters from Europe and Latin America-- Black Olive Jazz brings these two traditions together with an all-star ensemble of San Francisco jazz artists. Black Olive Jazz plays Standards, Swing, Latin and Blues with a Mediterranean flavor. Our CD, Black Magic, has received airplay on the jazz station, KCSM, and sells on CD Baby.
