Climb on board and take that Caribbean cruise with the rhythms of Salsa Steel! Island, Latin, Jazz, Reggae, Oldies, kid songs, Jimmy Buffett/Bob Marley, this popular steel drum band plays it all. Salsa Steel worked with one of the original Trinidad Steel Drum Bands and performed for celebrities and dignitaries from around the world. They are recording artists and have been featured at thousands of theme parks, fairs, festivals, expos and many of the best venues across the country. “Our mission is to spread the joy of steel pan drum music across the nation.”

Bill and his crew were amazing! Everyone loved the vibe. I would recommend them for any venue. Definitely book 4 band members if possible. Drummer and bass player add a lot.

I was looking for easy beach music with steel drums and Bill delivered in spades. On time, friendly, and no hassle. Along with steel drums, Bill provided back-up tracks of reggae, Jimmy Buffet, etc. to keep our background music interesting and varied. Great job!

These guys are too much fun! The poolside music was the perfect ambiance for the day. Those that wanted to dance or limbo (yes, they bring limbo to the party!) had a blast, and those that just want to listen to the island sounds were also content. Great choice to hire Salsa Steel! Thanks Bill & Stephanie for giving us awesome entertainment!!

What to expect
Good people having fun. We play many different styles. With the steel drums You can expect to hear alot of classic island music from Yellowbird and Jamaica Farewell to lot's of Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, Harry Belafonte and more. Vocals on request. acoustic or electric is up to you. If you would prefer Latin jazz, we use marimba, woodwinds with added bass and percussion playing Salsa, merengue, sambas, Cha cha and more. Dancers makes for a very special treat.

EXPERIENCE:
Currently working in video and music production with emphasis on following projects:
Soloist and band leader of the popular music group "Salsa Steel".
Media consultant for World Digital Innovations; helping to develop content for their clients Sempre Energy, Frito-Lay, and several Southern California Community College campuses.
Past
Performed music for many special events such as the Tolby Wells Foundation, San Diego Zoo, Hotel Del, Pauma Casino, The Renaissance Pleasure Faire as well as private/corporate parties.
Engineered audio for many indy film festivals, produced audio/video content for fortune 100 companies.
Performed as a percussionist with Chicago Symphony, and have played parties attended by Oprah, President Clinton, Sonny Bono and other notable celebrities.
