July 11, 2023Talented guitarist with a great classic rock playlist!
Bill played as an opening act for the Phin City Parrot Head Club at a pool party. He is very talented and played a great variety of easy listening classic rock songs. He provided the perfect ambience as we welcomed guests, mingled, and dined. Bill stayed in contact prior to the show, was there early to set up and endured afternoon summer heat without complaint. He is very friendly, has some great stories and hung around to share a few with our group one on one after his gig. Thanks Bill!

Thanks, Lisa -
It was my honor to be the first music act at Capt. Rick's Margaritaville !! What a nice group of friendly, complimentary guests....they knew those songs and I could see some smiles (some confused!!) when I played some "way-back" oldies. That is what it is all about for me.
Thanks again to all of you....be well, be successful, and let's have some more of these !!
Rock on,
Bill

Audiences can expect tasteful, live acoustic guitar music that enhances the atmosphere of an event without overpowering conversation. My performances are designed to support social settings, providing a relaxed and polished musical backdrop that feels welcoming, familiar, and engaging.
I perform instrumental acoustic guitar music spanning well-known favorites from the 1950s through today. The focus is on melody and feel rather than volume, making the music ideal for guests who are mingling, networking, dining, or enjoying cocktails. The overall sound is pleasant, professional, and never intrusive.
This style of live music works especially well for:
Wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions
Corporate events, cocktail hours, and networking functions
Private parties and social gatherings
Restaurants, lounges, wine bars, and intimate venues
Event hosts and planners appreciate that my music adds warmth and energy to the room while allowing conversations to flow naturally. Volume levels are always adjusted to fit the space, whether it’s a quiet indoor setting or a larger outdoor venue.
From arrival to setup to performance, clients can expect a professional, reliable experience. I arrive prepared, set up efficiently, and communicate clearly to ensure everything runs smoothly. My goal is to make the music portion of your event feel effortless and stress-free.
Whether the setting calls for elegant background music, relaxed cocktail hour ambiance, or a comfortable live music presence that blends into the event, audiences can expect a polished acoustic guitar performance that complements the occasion and elevates the overall experience.
About
I’m Bill Binnings, a Las Vegas–based acoustic guitarist with over 20 years of professional experience, originally from New Orleans, LA, with years performing in Austin, TX, before relocating to Las Vegas.
I specialize in instrumental acoustic guitar designed to support social settings — adding warmth, energy, and sophistication without competing for attention. My repertoire spans familiar favorites spanning the 1950s to the present.
Clients appreciate my reliability, straightforward setup, and easy communication, making the booking process smooth from start to finish.
Additional booking notes
My setup is simple, self-contained, and designed to fit comfortably into a wide range of venues without disruption.
Sound
I provide all necessary sound equipment, including a professional-quality amplifier suitable for small to medium-sized venues, indoor or outdoor events, and cocktail hour–style performances. Volume levels are always adjusted to match the space and event style, ensuring the music enhances the atmosphere without overpowering conversation.
For larger events or venues with in-house sound systems (such as hotels, casinos, and corporate venues on the Las Vegas Strip), I’m happy to coordinate with the venue’s AV team and can plug into the house sound PA if required.
Space Requirements
My performance area requires minimal space, typically a small corner or stage area. No special staging is necessary. I can perform comfortably in restaurants, ballrooms, patios, private homes, lounges, and event venues.
Power
A standard 120V electrical outlet within a reasonable distance of the performance area is required. Extension cords and basic power needs are provided if needed.
Lighting
No special lighting is required. Standard venue lighting is more than sufficient. If the venue has an existing stage or ambient lighting, I’m happy to perform within those conditions.
Setup & Breakdown
Setup is quick and efficient, usually completed well before guests arrive when possible. Breakdown is just as smooth and unobtrusive. My goal is to integrate seamlessly into your event timeline without interruptions.
Outdoor Events
Outdoor performances are welcome, provided there is adequate protection from direct sunlight, wind, or weather. A covered area or shade is required to protect equipment and ensure sound quality.
General Notes
• Fully self-contained setup
• Suitable for background music and ambient live entertainment
• Flexible and adaptable to venue requirements

Customization
Set lists are tailored to the event, venue, and audience, and adjusted in real-time to fit the mood of the room. Special requests are negotiable with advance notice, depending on the time needed to learn it. My full repertoire spans hundreds of songs and is available upon request.
Influences and inspiration
Eric Clapton’s Unplugged album (1992) is a major influence on my approach to acoustic guitar. That performance helped bring instrumental and stripped-down acoustic music into the spotlight and showed how powerful familiar songs can be when presented with subtlety, feel, and restraint.
I’m also influenced by artists such as America, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, and Alice in Chains — musicians who demonstrated how the guitar can be both expressive and understated, whether accompanying a vocal or standing on its own.
More than any single artist, I’m inspired by the sound, emotion, and feel of the acoustic guitar itself. My focus is on melody, tone, and musical atmosphere — using the guitar to create warmth, connection, and a relaxed listening experience.
Setup requirements
I require a small performance area (approximately 6’ x 6’), access to a standard 120V electrical outlet, and an armless chair or stool. Normal venue lighting is sufficient. For comfort and performance quality, access to water and a restroom is appreciate
