We hired Bill to perform at our block party in September 2025. Bill is a super sweet, down to earth guy and his musical sense is terrific. While everyone at our party enjoyed food, games and other events, Bill performed his one-man solo act in the background and it was perfect. I heard a lot of comments on how good his music choices were, his unique sound, and particularly how appropriate he was for our party. We have every intention to hire him again the next time.

As a venue owner, I want to have Bill play at our place as we always receive many positive comments about him. His fingerpicking style on the acoustic guitar is impressive, delivered with precision and feeling. His voice is smooth and in tune with the mood of the song. Whether he’s playing a soft ballad or an upbeat song, you feel like he’s speaking directly to you. If you are looking for a good acoustic guitar player and singer, he’s one to check out.

About
Born in Tennessee but traveled the world as the son of a career US Navy officer.
After my own military service including a year in Vietnam, I returned to Tennessee. I enjoyed a diverse career including time as a radio disc jockey, news and sports reporter.
When I retired in 2013, I was living in Nashville. I decided to get serious about playing music. I took lessons from some Nashville music heavyweights. I learned to finger pick from Pete Huttlinger, the national fingerpicking champion in 2001.
The rest is history. I now enjoy entertaining folks with a wide range of songs and genres. I have been heavily influenced by John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmie Buffet, Garth Brooks and many others.
