Bilaal Muhammad is an award-winning poet, writer, and spoken word artist who now lives in Savannah, Georgia after more than a decade in southeast Georgia. His has read his work in major US cities, several high school, and colleges. His poetry has been recognized by the International Library of Poetry, he received the Editor’s Choice award in 2003, for his poetic artistry. He is a writing Fellow for Deep Center, mentoring young writers, poets, and authors. While perfecting is craft, he has worked as a Police Officer for twenty-two years which makes Bilaal an interesting artist. He shares his perspective as officer in his work.

Bilaal is a staunch advocate against injustice and his mission is to utilize his words to activate the masses to make change. Bilaal believes that spoken word poetry is the epitome of the performance arts. Bilaal has performed at various venues throughout Georgia, Florida and several venues in Philadelphia.

Bilaal is the author of three books of poems, The Humble Poet, his first publication and He Wore Long Sleeves, and Love Have No Boundaries.

All I need is a venue full of expectant eyes and ears, and I will give them a performance to remember.
