Big Fun Brass Band, LLC is a New Orleans entertainment company that performs for parades, corporate parties, wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and more! We provide a wide variety of musical acts from small jazz groups, to brass bands, reception bands, and big stage bands.

Big Fun Brass Band definitely lives up to the name!! First off, communication with them (particularly Abby) before the event was great-- very responsive via email, and very helpful and transparent with costs and permits. It was really helpful to have them fill out the 2nd line permit, especially if you are from out of town. They work with you and the city to come up with a great parade route. The day of the event, they arrived on time and were willing to work with us around the timing of our ceremony. They were a hit, and everyone loved their energy. They kept the party going for an hour straight!! I definitely recommend Big Fun Brass Band to take your event to the next level!

Big Fun Brass Band was phenomenal! Hired for a large corporate event in New Orleans, and they started the night off perfectly. Got all guests excited and moving! Owner David was the best to work with... very prompt, professional, detailed, on-time and dependable. I would absolutely recommend for any wedding or event, amazing!

April 10, 2025Our guests still haven't stopped talking about Big Fun!
I reached out to Big Fun looking for a second line band but noticed that they also offered DJ services. I didn't see any reviews for the DJ part so I sent an email asking about that. The response I got from Abby was prompt, detailed, and honest and made my wife and me want to hire her immediately. She said that she is the one that does the DJing but had been focusing on promoting the second line bands so hadn't had time to get anything up yet. If that's still the case, let me be the first to give Big Fun's DJ services a "10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend hiring" review! Communication during the hiring process was quick and once that was out of the way all we had to do was wait for our date to get closer. Then Abby sent us a questionnaire about the music we would like and other details she should know about and that was that! She provided a mic and amplification for our service, acted as our MC, and when it was time to start dancing she kept the floor packed the entire night. Once she finished the Big Fun second line band took over and our guests still haven't stopped talking about them! It was the highlight for so many people and the perfect way to end our perfect wedding.
My wife has a lot of family in New Orleans but we don't live there so having Big Fun be such a big part of our day really made our wedding feel authentic and like a New Orleans wedding should. I don't have a single negative thing to say about working with them. If you're looking for a DJ, second line band, or both, you've got to go with them. They'll give you a reception you and your guests will never forget!

Working with y'all was a breeze. You were both so communicative and clear in what you wanted and needed, and were pleasant through out the entire process.
For y'all to take the time during your wedding reception to thank me by name, but not just me, several other vendors working on your behalf, I mean y'all even thanked your wedding planner and gave her a special moment, and I can't tell you enough how much that means to me and everyone in the wedding business. I know people appreciate their vendors, but for all of us to get a personalized shout out during your wedding was truly something else, and I think it says a lot about your character. I can't thank you enough for trusting me to host your wedding party and for choosing to work with me and for being so kind on top of it all.
