Tamell "BiG" Bailey is a spoken rap artist (spoken word and hip-hop), event host, music producer, audio engineer, graphic designer, videographer, and computer technician. He recently won the IHA Award for Best Male Poet and Best Male Motivational Speaker for 2024. He is also the President of SMS Entertainment and a dad joke enthusiast. Through his music and poetry, he emphasizes motivation, inspiration, social consciousness, and positivity. Bailey co-hosts and curates “Art of Words” Open Mic monthly at the Aiken County Public Library.

Tamell “Big” Bailey dreamed of being the world’s strongest man, an Olympic thrower, and an architect—but instead, he built a career throwing words and lifting spirits. He is a poet, hip-hop artist, audio engineer, videographer, and full-time father. He owns and operates an Information Technology support business named “Tamell’s Tech Support,” utilizing his Master of Science in Information Technology degree and over 20 years of experience in the I.T. field. He spreads humor, motivation, and positivity like strawberry jam on toast. Voted Best Male Poet and Motivational Speaker at the IHA Awards for 2024 and Best Album winner for Never Quit on Your Dreams at the Fairfield Music Awards, he co-hosts and curates “Art of Words” Open Mic monthly at the Aiken County Public Library. He drops rhymes like dad jokes—consistently and with enthusiasm. When not rocking mics, he’s geeking out over Seinfeld and other sitcoms, bowling, top golf, pineapples, and the purr of a happy cat.
