Ben Proulx

I am well suited to most events, given the experience I've built over the past 15 years touring back and forth across Canada, and into the United States. In addition to performing at comedy clubs, theatres, and bars, I've been hired to perform at a wide range of corporate events, including: company christmas parties and staff functions; fundraisers of all sizes; weddings (as a performer and as a professional emcee); conferences and conventions; the World Curling Championships; KDays; and more.

I can be as clean as you need me to be, have dynamic material that connects with all audiences, and enjoy doing crowd work.

As a Jewish amputee growing up in the prairies, Ben had little choice but to be a comedian. Over the past 15 years, he has established himself as a crowd favourite, touring the country with an incomparable storytelling ability and unique perspective.

Ben recorded an album with Just For Laughs in 2023 and has two comedy specials — "Broken" and "Sometimes I Faint" — that each reached the No. 1 spot on iTunes. Ben has appeared at the Las Vegas World Series of Comedy, the Edmonton Comedy Festival, YYCalgary Comedy Festival, Craft Island Comedy Festival, and the Okanagan Comedy Festival, among others.

As an actor, Ben has appeared in TV shows including Hell on Wheels, Fargo, and Heartland, and in the Oscar Award-winning movie, The Revenant.

Comedy is easy — we need a microphone and a sound system. If you have a stage and a spotlight, that's even better. I can work with most setups.
