Belladonna is a six-piece ensemble from Halifax, Nova Scotia touching all boarders of the musical spectrum. They take their influences from a wide variety of genres including classical, hip-hop, and electronic but are heavily cited as an ambient post-rock collective. Belladonna’s approach to song writing is conceptual and progressive. Each member brings their unique perspective to the writing process creating rich layers, smooth textures, and driving percussion under the spell of three-part harmonies and powerful leads. In December 2013 Belladonna released their self-titled debut EP which was nominated in 2014 for Music Nova Scotia’s “Alternative Recording of the Year”.

Belladonna’s approach to song writing is conceptual and progressive. In December 2013 Belladonna released their self-titled debut EP which was nominated in 2014 for Music Nova Scotia’s “Alternative Recording of the Year”. They have had radio play on various shows aired on CBC including “Main Street” in Halifax and “The Signal" with Laurie Brown in Toronto in addition to regular airplay on CKDU's “Halifax is Burning”. They have also received airplay in the UK by Simon Raymonde, member of the dream-pop trio Cocteau Twins, via the web-based Amazing Radio.
