BellaDonna; the name says it all. This “Beautiful woman” has had a passion for the stage since she was just a little girl in the choir. Transitioning from singing, to acting, she’s quickly making herself at home in the world of burlesque, as well as being a self proclaimed “Drag-dabbler”. Kickstarting her adult dancing career with GBBA, a member of the group formerly known as “The Buxom Belles”, she’s found a home in the south’s burlesque scene with current troupe, “Black Shawl Cabaret” of Bristol, Tennessee. Known for flirtatious floor work, whether she’s sitting, spinning, or splitting, shes sure to cause a stir inside. Calling to the stage, Tennessee’s own BellaDonna Dufraine, 8th wonder of the world, 1st one of Northeast Tennessee.
I provide my own music as far as links/mp3 downloads but do not provide sound or lighting. Most of the time, a laptop with a GOOD speaker will do the trick!
I have several influences as far as my looks/costuming goes, however my performance style does range outside of just classic burlesque. I will say, Lili St Cyr is a huge influence of mine! Most of the big Hollywood stars from the golden age are who I’ve looked too for inspiration, not just the burlesque/cabaret performers. I love Mae West, Sophia Loren and of course Marylin Monroe. However, my influences for personality and entertainment would be closer aligned with Charley Chaplain or even Dick Van Dyke! I try to keep it fun and playful, not just sexy and sparkly!
Usually I will bring props such as a chair and some accessories for props. I do tarp for any “messy” numbers that have been requested.
