Overview

Planning a special event? A String Ensemble is an elegant addition to any ceremony or celebration!

Our musicians are professionals with many years of performance experience. For small events, a solo violin or solo cello or a string duo (violin & guitar or violin & cello) adds simple elegance. If you have a very large venue and/or large number of guests, you may prefer a string trio or string quartet. More musicians creates a fuller sound with lusher harmonies. For cocktail hour or dinner, we can also play alongside a backing track, for a more party-feel!

Wedding Ceremonies rates range from $350 for Solo Violin to $500 Duo , $650 String Trio or $800 String Quartet.

Jen was amazing!
We had a couple very specific songs we really wanted played for our ceremony and Jen did them flawlessly! When my wedding entrance took longer than planned, she looped my song and I made my entrance at the exact moment we had desired. To say she is a professional is an understatement.

It was very important to me that my vendors be those I could pass along my vision to and they'd make it come to life with no oversight on the day of and that's exactly what Jen did.

What to expect

Our musicians are professionals with many years of experience playing at weddings, ceremonies, receptions, banquets, and festivals. We arrive punctually 45 minute before your ceremony start-time to tune and set-up, and play Classical Prelude music as your guests arrive for approx 30 minutes. Ceremony music can be customized by the bride and groom to feature Classical music, or pop favourites. To discuss musical selections with your wedding co-ordinator in person, you can book a free appointment to meet and hear live samples.

My colleagues and I are professional musicians with years of performance experience. We would be honoured to be a part of your special day. Music isn't just for weddings! We perform at cocktail hours, dinner receptions, corporate functions, funerals, anniversaries, retirement celebrations, and birthdays. I'd love to play at your next event! Please contact for pricing. Hourly rates are $150/musician plus a $150 non-refundable booking fee.

Wedding Ceremony Details
The musicians will arrive 40 minutes prior to your ceremony and perform 20-30 mins of Prelude Music to welcome your arriving guests. During the ceremony we typically play for:
Bridal Party Processional
Bride's Own Entry
(Communion/Hymns/Candle-lighting)
Signing of the Marriage License
Recessional/Exit Music

Looking for wedding music during cocktail hour, too? We can add on a reception package at a discounted rate. For any additional postlude music during photos, cocktail hour or dinner, anticipate $150/musician hourly with no additional booking fee.

We welcome your music requests! We are also happy to make appropriate selections for you if you are undecided, or to provide you with musical recommendations. To meet in person/via phone or a Zoom call to discuss and hear musical samples with the co-ordinator and lead violinist, Jennifer, you can book a FREE appointment. Questions via phone and email are also welcomed.

Additional booking notes

Space allowance: please allow us a feet of square footage away high traffic areas at your event. Ideally, we would like to have a good view of the ceremony for musical timing.
For duo, trio, or quartet, we will require armless chairs for the musicians.
We can amplify our own instruments for your cocktail hour or party, just ask! We will just need access to power.
Our instruments are very valuable and cannot be played outdoors in weather less than 12 degrees or in any kind of rain, spitting, included. Please have a backup venue or appropriate tenting coverage for your musicians if you are planning for an outdoor event!
