Bear Hill is a bluegrass band specializing in bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. We play hard driving, traditional ,recognizable bluegrass from the West Virginia mountains. Our band fills the show with comedy and has a friendly down-home manner on stage. The audience is involved with the band and the songs throughout the show.
If you are a church, our band has tons of the Bluegrass Gospel ready.

This band is awesome!! Members were personable, fun, and the music was the very best. Would highly recommend this band and will book them again next year for an event.
Wonderful group very friendly and enjoyable to hang out with after music ended. Great show, family friendly! Thanks again!
My bride and I saw the band this summer and it was fantastic! We enjoyed the music infused with a little pun (okay alotta pun.) And plenty of wholesome music, jams, and family appropriate humor. We loved you guys and that fella who used to be the superintendent of Hampshire School district is a laugh riot!!!! There ought to be a law against having that much fun at a show!!! I'm just gonna make sure you'all are within earshot of my cell!

What to Expect
If you enjoy traditional bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, old country classics, or comedy, you are going to enjoy our band. We will keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat.
Growing up in the "Appalachian Mountains" of West Virginia has giving us a born love for bluegrass and old country music. Our families have played this music on front porches for many generations. Janet and I have been playing music for many years in the surrounding states of West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida. We started years ago at a local Ruritan club and now play many large shows with top performers like Claire Lynch, JR Sisk, and Mountain Heart. However, our favorite show is a small venue, party, reunion, or any place that we can be "one on one" with the audience.
Additional Booking Notes
We use a single microphone and wireless monitors. We can and have played acoustic with no electricity or sound system. This year we bought a new state of the art PA system. It consist of JBL powered speakers and a AT4033cl microphone. It is large enough to handle a crowd of 2000 people but small enough for a house party.
