I’m Hollis Wilder, three-time "Cupcake Wars" champion, bakery owner, cookbook author, and now—wellness advocate and founder of Battered Brilliance. My life has been a recipe packed with unexpected ingredients: success, failure, resilience, and reinvention. I built a baking empire, traveled the world, and lived my dream. And then, at the peak of my rise, my world crumbled.

A reaction to my anti-anxiety medication triggered a manic episode that led to a bipolar diagnosis and institutionalization. Overnight, I went from a celebrity chef to a ward of the state. My life wasn’t just off course: it was unrecognizable.
