Barbara is a co-founder of Living Pictures, a boutique photo and video company serving the Bay Area, providing coverage for events both big and small.

To ensure smooth and high-quality photography and videography, here are important technical considerations for weddings and events:

Lighting:

I primarily work with natural light whenever possible and supplement with professional on-camera and off-camera flashes (Sony HVL-F60RM, HVL-F45RM).

For low-light environments, additional lighting may be required; I can provide portable lighting solutions or recommend venue arrangements.

For video shoots, gaffer lighting may be requested for interviews, speeches, or staged scenes.

Staging & Space:

Access to areas for portrait setups or backdrops (optional for styled portraits) is recommended.

For events, clear sightlines and open space help capture candid and wide-angle shots effectively.

Small staging for couple or group shots may require minimal furniture rearrangement or designated backdrop space.

Sound (for video production):

For larger projects or video coverage, my crew can provide sound support including lapel microphones or boom mics.

Ambient sound recording is captured as needed for event highlights or cinematic storytelling.
