Ballard did a great job with our event. Showed up early, was professional and was the perfect addition to our event! We will definitely work with him in the future for other events.

July 29, 2025Terrific Musician
Ballard is flexible and easy to work with. It is obvious that he loves entertaining and sharing his music with others. Having an artist eager to perform and responsive to questions is refreshing. He is a terrific partner for any event!

About
In 2018, Ballard decided to quit playing his songs solely at home to his dog and started appearing at open mics around Indianapolis, playing original songs and covers. A year later he found himself gigging bars and restaurants with a drummer, under the moniker The Band, On The Run. The pandemic hit, and life stood still. He then emerged with a full band under the name Hotel 67. In the Spring of ’23, he set out to make an album of all original music. That same year Hotel 67 disbanded during rehearsals for the record. Ballard then teamed up with some fellow musicians, determined all the more to put out a professional recording of original songs. In November of 2024 he stepped into Postal Studios with Preston Ott (of Strangebirds, lead guitar/mandolin), Ryan Fox ((link hidden)), and Eric Fox ((link hidden)). What transpired is an EP of alt-country recordings documenting Ballard’s musical journey as an artist. Enter the landscape of On the Run, the debut album from Ballard. From the rollicking, western, runaway ride of the title track, to the southwestern landscape of “City of Refuge,” and on through the country slide ballad, “Never Look Back.” Ride the wave into the jam, “Float On,” that carries you drifting into the Texas Swing of “When You Ever Gonna Settle Down” to arrive at last on a lucky streak with the ballad, “Sometimes I Lose.” Look for “City of Refuge,” the debut single from On The Run, streaming everywhere on January 10, 2025. And the title track, "On the Run" streaming everywhere on February 7, 2025.
