Azure McCall

Listened to Azure many times in Honolulu. The greatest female vocalists I heard in Hawaii. Wish she still performed in the Aloha State.

Ms. McCall is a modern day jazz virtuoso and also a very nice lady. I had the exquisite pleasure of becoming acquainted with the jazz legend during many fun-filled years in Hawaii nei. Ms. McCall possesses the beautiful spirit of aloha wherever she may be. Hawaii is missing an angel but Berkeley has gained one. Berkeley, please cherish your angel, and realize you are very blessed to have Ms. McCall. To the fortunate impresario who arranges the presence of an Azure McCall performance: Know that your guests will be most richly rewarded and will have the memory of a lifetime. I was fortunate to spend 10 days on a cruise with Azure and her musicians and was just blown away by her talent. This lady could sing the telephone book and make it sound great. She can handle all types of music and always makes whatever she sings her own. You hear a lot of the great lady singers in her voice but she is her own person. By the way that person is really nice. Since I sat in for both sets on the ship each night I got to know her a bit and found her to be fun to talk to as well as listen to her singing. If you are ever in a spot where you can see her perform don't miss it, she is special.
