I am a tarot reader and I read with the Jodorowsky version of the Tarot de Marseille deck, and the Smith-Waite Centennial deck. I provide readings in private as well as at events. Private readings are around 40 minutes, and event readings are around 10-20 minutes a person depending on the size and length of the event.
I am also a solo violinist and I perform in various different styles. My main musical background is in traditional Greek as well as Western Classical. I am also experienced in Balkan, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Pop music. I perform for weddings ceremonies, galas, art openings, and other types of private and public events.

If you come to see an Aya Safiya solo violin performance, it is like traveling across the earth with a violin. I perform tunes from the Balkans, to the Middle East, to old-time America, and classical Europe. BUT if you hire me here on Gigsalad, I will adapt to your vision. My overall sound is acoustic, earthy, colourful, and delicate. That overall sound will stay the same, but I will play within the genres you prefer.

After studying under Blue June and Brian Oaster of Catland in New York City, and many other mentors, she has designed her own method of reading.
Aya is also a violinist and has been teaching and performing professionally for the last 20 years. She has performed at venues such as the Great American Music Hall and the Freight & Salvage Coffee House, as well as festivals in the US and Europe. She has studied Balkan, Greek, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern music, making trips to primarily Greece to learn from master musicians there, as well as Western Classical music through the Suzuki program. She also writes and performs Pop music.
