I'm an acoustic-electric solo fingerstyle instrumental guitarist, creating a full, band sound on one instrument. I perform throughout the greater Kansas City area, but I also travel outside the area for gigs. My repertoire includes originals, influenced by jazz, blues, rock, R&B, gypsy, country, New Orleans, etc. I also play many Great American Songbook jazz standards.

I present a full band sound on one instrument, playing fingerstyle on a 6 string acoustic-electric guitar. I have an extended repertoire of original music, with a wide range of influences: jazz, rock, blues, R&B, gypsy, country, latin, Nashville, New Orleans, world, etc.
I also play many Great American Songbook jazz standards.
I started playing guitar at age 21, due to the influence of my older brother Deke. He and his friends introduced me to the great acoustic fingerstyle blues players of the twentieth century. My early influences also included country fingerpickers, including the great Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, and Leo Kottke.
Along the way, my major influences widened to include jazz guitarist Joe Pass, banjo player Bela Fleck, as well as many great jazz piano players.
Through my formative years, I spent time as a singer/songwriter and eventually became a bandleader, with bands as diverse as jazz-rock and western swing.
Fingerstyle or fingerpicking guitar encompasses a huge range of styles, with one thing in common: it is played with the fingers of the picking hand, without using a traditional flat pick. Just a few years ago, I returned to what originally attracted me to playing the guitar, which is fingerstyle, acoustic, instrumental guitar.
I have several options for sound. I play many gigs just with my Cube Street EX acoustic guitar amplifier, and I also have a small and a medium size PA systems. I can provide lighting as necessary.
I have played through house sound systems also.

I have been influenced by the great acoustic fingerstyle blues players of the twentieth century. My early influences also include country fingerpickers, including the great Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, and Leo Kottke. Tommy Emmanuel is a powerful influence on all acoustic and fingerstyle guitarists.
i include the great jazz guitarist Joe Pass, banjo player Bela Fleck, as well as many great jazz piano players like Oscar Peterson and George Shearing as important influences in the development of my style.
House sound and lighting are helpful, but I can also provide my own.
