Austin is outstanding! His voice is just like butter and he played his guitar flawlessly! He performed for my brides processional entrance and it was absolutely dreamy. I can’t thank Austin enough for the amazing music he provided at my son’s wedding last weekend. The wedding reception was in a vineyard on the central coast of California. Austin flew out from Tennessee with his guitar to play and sing during the cocktail hour. He worked months in advance with the bride and groom to remix their first dance and melted everyone’s heart when he sang it live. Then Austin seamlessly switched into DJ mode and had everyone up on the dance floor all night long. His voice is like silk and his guitar amazing. Austin made the night magical. We hired Austin for both singing + playing acoustically and also DJ'ing for the second half of our wedding ceremony. Beforehand, Austin made sure to understand what we were expecting from the music for our event, and what our musical taste was. For the acoustic part, he made sure to provide us a very detailed list of songs he is very comfortable playing and singing, but was also very accommodating with taking requests from songs we wanted to include in, especially during our wedding ceremony. Many of our guests told us how impressed they were with his style and quality, and so were we. For the DJ'ing piece, he also did a great job finding the right songs to set the mood for our dinner portion, and later on for the dance floor. He was also very accommodating to a couple of our guests one-off song requests, which we are very grateful for. Austin has a great personality and is a very pleasant person to talk to, and I would definitely recommend his services for both live entertainment and DJ'ing.

Austin made our wedding a truly memorable and fun experience. We received so many compliments about him from our guests. Austin Ellis was kind enough to come to Saint George, UT. to play for our daughter’s wedding on Jan. 2nd. He was incredible! Austin was an absolute godsend! We were looking for someone who could provide a relaxed vibe and great singing / guitar skills for our wedding, and he totally fits the bill, above and beyond. We fell in love with his videos online, and then reached out via email. He got back to us quickly, and we FaceTimed to ensure a good fit. We were so impressed with his professionalism but laid back attitude - exactly what you need when planning a big, stressful event. He also told us that he could DJ at no extra charge (!!!), so we decided to have him play guitar / sing at the ceremony and the first half of the reception, and then he switched to DJing and opened the dance floor. My husband and I are quite particular about music, and wanted a certain type played throughout, and so he let us create a Spotify playlist with not only our "must haves" but also ~10 of my husband's classic Australian tunes so his family coming in town would have some music to jam out to, too! However, he has a VERY long song list that he can play / sing, and you wouldn't need to do any "prepping" him at all... he shows up and kills it! He adapts easily, and can change the vibe or type of music so quickly if he gets a request or simply gets a feeling from his audience. Austin is very down to earth and in tune with the guests, which allowed us to fully trust him to do an amazing job as a singer, guitarists, DJ, and overall entertainer.

The most special thing that must be mentioned is that Austin learned three songs for us, one of which was for me walking down the aisle, and was a surprise for my husband (and I changed the lyrics slightly), so I know it was a big lift for him. He did all of this happily, and those three songs were a big party of what made our day perfect.

Six weeks later and our guests are still contacting us about how awesome the music was and how cool / fun our musician was. One of our aunts said it was the most fun she has had since college! Austin completely blew us away and we hope to be able to use him in the future for an event!

If I could give Austin more stars I would. Not only did he impress me but everyone at our venue. The one main guy who was back and fourth about having a live singer at our venue stated “ I was wrong Austin killed it”. What an amazing person in general to work with. We had a restart with some rain that hit right after our wedding started. Austin even made what could have been a stressful situation more fun by playing as we waited out the 20 minute rain shower to come back out again for the ceremony. Wow! Austin was an absolute hero. The most pleasant, polite, genuine guy I have ever met. Obviously, as a proposal, I had to plan this well as a surprise - without Austin's help, it wouldn't have worked. Communicating with me constantly - he made the plan work perfectly! He stayed around and spoke to us after for while and wasn't rushing to go or anything. He was perfect! He comes across very modest which shows what a great guy he is. He has good sense of humour and would recommend him highly to anybody out there interested in a singer/guitarist. Fortunately I recorded the proposal and have constantly watched it.

We had a destination wedding that took place on the big island of Hawaii. Our goal for music was to find balance between something live and a DJ that could interject various dance songs throughout the night. Austin was absolutely perfect. He did 3-4 live sets through out the night and mixed in various mixed music seamlessly. I can’t reiterate how amazingly talented his live sets were too. I could of listened to him play all night - he was that special.
He was also an absolute pleasure to work with. He had to fly from the east coast with all his equipment way out to the big island. Despite the long flights, he showed up for every meeting timely, and always had such a positive upbeat attitude. We could not have asked to work with someone with such a great personality and truly easy going for our big day.
Also one of the coolest unique elements of our wedding was having Austin play an acoustic set as guest were arriving for the ceremony. As my beautiful bride came down the aisle - Austin played an incredible version of our wedding song that he specifically learned for the wedding. It was something we will never forget - and so special for us. What made it cooler was that he recorded the song for us later - so we have that version forever.

Where do I start? From the start when we were communicating on gigsalad even before I secured him for my event, Austin’s kind demeanor and willingness to accommodate me were evident. We had touched base a few times about the event location (as I had to change it) and the music and he was just the best. Nothing was a problem for him. Wow...could not have asked for anything better. Hired Austin for my daughters wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was absolutely fabulous. Great communicator throughout the process and so professional. He learned two new songs for the father/daughter and mother/son dances. It gave the whole wedding a great personal and intimate vibe instead of the usual pre-recorded songs. He is worth every penny and I would hire him again without hesitation!

Austin was outstanding. Love his music style, and his voice is impeccable. This was a corporate event of 125 people, with the average age of about 50 yrs old and even though he's much younger ;), he fit in very well. Everyone really enjoyed his performance. He joined our group for dinner and he is a very kind, personable person. He can connect and talk to anyone, brings a great energy everywhere he goes, always smiling and laughing and was just a delight to have around.

I do also want to mention that prior to the event, the booking was very easy. Austin Ellis performed at my daughter's 10th birthday and he was a true gem and a professional. He arrived early and was patient, kind and genuine. It was a house filled with guests and a party tent with over 30, 10-year-old kids but Austin was humble, social and fit right in.
His performance was spot on and beautiful. His voice was amazing and despite a bunch of rambunctious boys in the front row, Austin sang without missing a beat. My biggest regret was not turning down the lights and giving Austin the ambiance that he, his performance and his voice deserves. Austin is a serious performer who understands how to entertain everyone, 10-year-olds and all. His contribution to my daughter's party will forever be etched in our memories.

First off, Austin is a sweetheart. We only "met" him once or twice by phone and Skype before our wedding, but he felt like a friend by the big day. Second, he has a Voice. So many people came up to us and complimented his sound, especially during cocktail hour. He played lovely arrangements of all the songs we wanted for our first dance and parental dances, including learning "Forever Young" for me to dance with my dad. My only minor complaint, is that due to issues with his speakers, he did end up switching over to the venues speakers and cut his live act a bit short of what our contract and rate stipulated instead playing music from a playlist we'd put together, augmented by his own choices. This meant he did not get a chance to play several songs I had asked (and paid for) him to arrange as a surprise to my husband who loves Jersey rock, which was not in Austin's standard setlist. However, that said, Austin handled a tough situation gracefully--none of our guests even knew about the issues and everyone had a great time dancing to his DJ set. He also told me that he's bought a back up speaker to avoid this issue in the future. I'd say for couples on the fence between wanting live music, especially for cocktail hour and dinner, but still wanting the energy of top 40 dance music later in the night, Austin is masterful a. As for the songs we'd missed out on? He went to the trouble of recording them so I can play them for my husband at our one month-versary. What a dear.

We hired Austin to perform at our wedding on August 28th in NY. He performed our ceremony and at our reception. Through the lead up of the event he was super responsive to all sorts of communication. We had a few phone chats as my hubby and I were doing most of the planning ourselves. He was super helpful and even gave us some pointers of his past experiences. He learned additional songs that we had asked and he sang them beautifully! Rather than these chats being stressful during the planning, it was so much fun! He is a super cool, down to earth guy !! He was beyond incredible at the event- we cannot say enough of his personality and vibe, he fit right in with our family. A few of our friends actually thought we knew him beforehand! Needless to say our guests loved him just as much as us!! We would hire him again in a heartbeat! He is a perfect 10 in our book and it was an honor to have him be a part of our special day!

Austin was a huge hit at our rehearsal dinner!! We chatted a few times before the event about songs we liked... and he played them all! He even took some requests. He also acted as an MC when needed. Austin performed during my March 2016 wedding cocktail reception, playing acoustic guitar and singing. I went back and forth on a strong trio, classical guitarist and others. I can't describe just how happy my husband and i were with our selection of Austin. He adapted to the crowd, took requests and even inspired some air guitar. Austin was very professional from the start on the phone and in person. He is an excellent performer and talks with the guests to make them feel welcome. He asks your input on what he should play but he can come up with the appropriate music without your guidance if necessary. Austin performed at the 24 Hours of Booty charity cycling event. He was awesome and kept crowds in our main tent, keeping riders entertained even when they were sitting for a snack break.
