June 14, 2022He was GREAT!
Austin played at my sons rehearsal dinner. He was easy to communicate with. Very responsive and eager to give us the experience we wanted. Played songs my son and his wife requested beforehand. Everyone commented on how great they were. I would hire him again in a second!

March 16, 2021Textbook of clarity and nuance
Austin Burns voice is textbook of clarity, nuance, and beautifully proportioned in balance and sincerity! Another way in putting it: The words project the music/the music projects the words. He treats BOTH on equal term and manner. The muse has been listening: She is the source of inspiration to the creative artist: Austin Burns!

August 13, 2020Have attended several concerts and worked with Austin!
I have known Austin for many years. I have attended many of his concerts in downtown Boston and various livestreams. I have had a great time at every performance! I also worked with him as a member of the choir at Church of the Covenant. Austin was always well prepared and professional. He is a talented tenor with a gracious spirit and a deep love for music and people. I can't think of anyone better suited for your event!

About
Austin Burns is a New England-based performer, composer, arranger, and curator of original concert programs. He is the founder of Sole Durato, an ensemble consisting of singers, guitarists and pianists, as well as percussionists on occasion. The group performs a wide-ranging repertoire of works that Austin curates and arranges, including programs highlighting the poetry of Robert Burns, Neapolitan songs, American songs, Irish songs, an exploration of opera arias, and more. Sole Durato performs across the Northeast and in the greater Boston area, including presenting music in private homes using the innovative concert presenting platform, GroupMuse.
Austin and his ensemble have performed in many historic venues including Marble House (Newport), The Rotch Jones Duff House (New Bedford), Hamilton House (ME), The Boston Public Library, the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), and The Harvard Club (Boston) to name a few. Austin is also in the process of planning a tour through the east coast of the US next July to promote his debut album
Austin received his Masters degree in vocal performance from New England Conservatory in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in composition from LaGrange College in 2013. He also serves as the Music Minister at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in New Bedford MA.
Additional booking notes
Being more of the classical persuasion I generally perform without microphones but I do have my own amp, mic, and electric piano if needed. Generally whether solo or as an ensemble we simply need a power outlet and a few armless chairs.
