August Green - Professional Storyteller
Overview
I present humorous, personal, real-life stories relatable to a wide swath of people. My shows have been described as "if Garrison Keillor met stand-up comedy," and "a masterful job of not just telling funny stories, but of telling stories funny."

About
August Green is a professional storyteller born and raised in Southeastern Iowa, but currently residing just outside of Seattle, WA. He has been passionate about storytelling as an art form since his teenage years, often being told by those around him that the only thing he was truly qualified to do was talk. With a mission to bring laughter to all people in all places, August has dedicated his life to sharing stories that connect and entertain. Once being described as, “A modern day Andy Griffith blended with Garrison Keillor,” August Green has developed a distinctive style that combines traditional storytelling methods steeped in Southern tradition while seasoning the pot with a distinctively Midwestern attitude that has appeal to all demographics. What sets Green apart is not just the stories he tells, but the way in which he tells them. “I once heard someone say that it isn’t always about telling funny stories; sometimes it’s about telling stories funny,” he says. Having performed at a multitude of venues, events, and gatherings for everyone from Senior Citizens to Corporate Executives, August Green brings a joyful energy to each show that leaves a lasting impression no matter the crowd. When not telling stories, he is an avid gardener, a dedicated fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and has been said to make “the best Grilled Cheese sandwich known to man.”
Additional booking notes
I am allergic to corn and corn derivatives (this includes, but is not limited to: popcorn, tortilla chips, corn chips, etc). As a result, I respectfully ask that there be NO fresh popcorn served at any of my performances; the fumes affect my breathing. Pre-popped popcorn (such as BoomChickaPop, Skinny Pop, or anything you pop yourself the day before) is not nearly as "fume-y," and does not affect me, so those are fine.
