Further to a long-standing career as a trial attorney, through which public speaking is key to the success of the client and his business, Edmond McGill constantly endeavors to create mediums for speech that provoke thought and positive motivation. Whether this has been something so simple as an emotional, yet funny wedding announcement, winning a case through rousing cross examination in court, or practicing the socratic method during presentations for the Marin Bar Association, Edmond’s talent as a motivational speaker is ever present in both his professional and personal endeavors.

Great speakers use touchstones from real-life events to invigorate and inspire audiences.

How did three San Quentin Prison Inmates design and manufacture parts for a boat from inside the walls of the infamous prison and then, on the chosen day, fasten all of the premade parts together into a complete vessel that they then launched from the San Quentin Prison dock onto the San Francisco Bay and to their freedom beyond?

Ah, but all things are temporary and, eventually, the inmates were captured and brought to trial in the world famous Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center in trendy Marin County. It was, of course, a foregone conclusion that the prison sailors would be quickly convicted and given 10 more years to serve at California's Bastille by the Bay.

But then, the impossible happened again and, not once, but twice because in two separate trials Marin County juries refused to convict the sailors – refused to do what everyone assumed they would do instantly upon hearing the evidence of the audacious and hilarious escape.

How did celebrated trial attorney Edmond McGill prevent the conviction, in two jury trials, of the inmates who sailed to freedom on their prison made boat with the words painted boldly on the bow “Rub-a-dub-dub, Marin Yacht Club”?

The strategic lessons from this and so many other court cases, civil and criminal, and countless negotiations and business deals in a life of more than 40 years in the courtroom and the conference room teach great and valuable lessons in strategy, patience, persistence and the great good humor that form the foundations for achievement and victory in every endeavor. Such experience paired with real life engagements through his family and friends make Edmond Francis McGill your ideal speaker.
