i have performed for more than twenty years as a solo artist, ensemble leader (presently: Songhai Djeli [traditional african folklore] & the Befo' Quotet [contemporary african/african-american music]) & workshop facilitator (percussion, voice, creative writing.) our invitations to perform at
cultural/educational institutions: museums, art galleries, schools, libraries, nightclubs & concert halls; weddings, naming ceremonies & other family gatherings (including funerals); kwanzaa, african history month & juneteenth celebrations; parades & political inauguration events offer some insight to my/our performance range.
