Athena Sorensen

I am a soloist, so when I sing for an event, it's me and my microphone on stage. I speak to the audience briefly between each song to introduce the song. If I am asked to share my Testimony, I will do that, and show pictures on a screen behind me during my testimony. I have experience walking through the audience while singing if requested by the venue.
I like to take my audience on a journey with me through music as I tell a story. I sing original songs I have written as well as old spirituals and hymns. I cater my music to the event. Wether it's youth, elderly, or middle aged, I have music that can touch all ages.

Athena Sorensen is a Christian Recording Artist that is dedicated to using her voice to glorify God by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has been doing music ministry for the past 15 years. Several years ago, God healed her from an incurable auto-immune disease. Now she wants to give hope to this dying world that there is a Savior who loves us and can heal us from our physical and spiritual diseases. Athena is also a licensed Nurse. She wants to use her life and testimony to help bring relief to those who are suffering physically and spiritually. Athena writes and composes her own music as an avenue to relay what God has done for her. She is married to her husband Shawn, they have two precious children. Athena is very active in her home church and serves as music minister, worship committee member, and praise team leader. She hosts a public affairs program on Trinity Broadcasting Network called "Joy in Our Town" that airs on channel 26 locally.

She has shared her music at numerous churches, gospel festivals, fairs, evangelistic seminars, television shows, and radio stations around the country. Athena has several albums available, including Grateful, Hymns Book One, Jesus Is The Meaning, Christmas Around the World, and her newest release, Have You Touched Jesus that has been very popular on the #1 Gospel internet radio station called Yes Lord Radio.

Athena’s performances include; San Francisco Giants major league baseball game, The “1st Annual Mega Gospel Concert” in Las Vegas, the “1st & 2nd Annual Gospel Festival” in Monterey, CA which featured such big named acts as Martha Munizzi and Vickie Winans, the annual “Easter Sunrise Service” in Paso Robles, CA which drew a crowd of over 1000 people. Crossroads Restoration Church in Chicago & Maryland, Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, TBN, and she has performed 2 years in a row for the “California Mid-State Fair” across from such big-named acts as Michael W. Smith and Casting Crowns. The Fair draws about 500,000 people each year!

She was recently interviewed on 3ABN, the 2nd largest Christian Network in the world. 3ABN is a non-denominational 24-hour t.v. and radio ministry that reaches over 250 million souls worlwide! Athena also performed for the “Generation in Action” youth rally that drew about 3000 young people in Fresno, CA. Other t.v. appearances include, TBN, Life Worth Living, Finally it’s Friday, God’s Love, and Central Coast Good News. Her music is being played on 96.3 Australia, 95.5 “The Fish” Hawaii, 90.3 WEGF, 99.1 KSKB, 90.9 KLOX, 91.5 KSNS, and XM Satellite Radio where her hit “Grateful” reached #10 on the charts!
