July 7, 2023Athan turned our casual backyard BBQ into a magical musical journey. His professionalism was impressive, arriving 30 minutes early to set up his PA system, microphone, and other equipment. His wide-ranging performance, from "Bad Moon Rising" to Kings of Leon, was nothing short of captivating.
His knack for audience engagement added a delightful twist to the evening, turning it into an impromptu karaoke party under the stars. Even when his initially booked two hours were up, Athan graciously extended his performance, keeping the fun alive.

I can perform as a solo artist and either provide background music, for cocktail hour etc, or a more engaging experience with more uplifting music where I can interact with the crowd and get them to sing along and dance. I can also perform with a full band, again as background music or a more uplifting music etc. In general very flexible and easy to work with, with plenty of experience on private and corporate events, with previous clients such as Bank Of America, Snow Joe and more.
Apart from live music, I am also a very experienced DJ and instead of hiring a band as well as a DJ, which some events may require, I can provide both in a more affordable price!
As mentioned in previous section, I can also provide sound, video and lighting services, for any type of venue / event. Please feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to accommodate your needs and help run a successful event!
Athan Hilaki is a Singer, Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist (Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Piano, Ukulele, Harmonica, Percussion). He was born in Athens, Greece and moved to New York in 2008. He is the founding member of the Alternative Rock / Indie Rock band, Trapped In Static (New York, 2011). Athan has performed with various bands and singer/songwriters as a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist on stage as well as in studio.
Along with Trapped In Static and GAD, he has shared the stage with musicians such as The Killers, Duffy, The Prodigy and more. In 2014 Athan wrote the soundtrack for the TV movie “Preying For Mercy”, written & directed by Bill Duke, featuring the two time EMMY award winner Martha Byrne. Since then, he has written many soundtracks, as well as theater and film scores. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Athan continues to write and produce music, perform live and is touring with various musicians.
