Aspire was formed in August 2021, won the Carolinas District Seniors Quartet Contest in November 2021, and placed 5th at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Seniors Quartet Contest held in Pasadena, CA in January 2022.
Members of Aspire are Wally Miles – Lead, Tom Parker – Bass, Rob Hopkins – Baritone and Ted Leinbach – Tenor. All of us have been in numerous other quartets when we were younger (for some of us that’s much younger).
Wally lives in Mooresville, NC; Rob in Matthews, NC; and Tom and Ted hail from the Winston-Salem, NC area.
Our repertoire is varied and can be suited to almost any occasion.

The program covered a variety of music styles and some favorite sing along ones too. And their relationship with the audience was so much fun to hear and see! I would recommend them 10000%! Aspire gave our group an amazing show and we loved them!

Aspire specializes in 20 to 40 minute show packages with song selection tailored to the specific audience or event. We also often provide background music for corporate events, shopping centers, country club parties,. etc.
Aspire actually sings all over the two Carolinas. Our members, Ted Leinbach, Wally Miles, Tom Parker, and Rob Hopkins hail from Winston-Salem, Mooresville and Mathews, NC. As a barbershop quartet, our set-up needs are pretty much non-existent and we can tailor our performance to almost any occasion or length of time.
As a quartet, our technical needs are pretty much non-existent. Depending on the venue, we often do not need a sound system but one is helpful for speaking. If one is deemed necessary, it is the responsibility of the client to provide it.

We obviously are impacted by many other fine quartets within the Barbershop Harmony Society, but we tend to sing songs that are of a more contemporary nature. Also, we are blessed to have Rob Hopkins as our baritone and in-house arranger. Most of our songs are Rob's arrangements and we can even tailor a song to your specific needs we we don't already have an arrangement of it.
