About
The Ashe Brothers began their musical journey in the sleepy suburbs of Chicago, where the twins were born on April 20th, 1992. Learning the basic fundamentals through piano at age(s) 8 and continuing to gain inspiration in a group setting with the upright bass in the school orchestra at age(s) 11, it was apparent that this would become more than a hobby for them.
In their early teens, they began to fall naturally into their respective roles as a creative entity. Conor was driven to write songs and establish the foundation of the project, listening intently to artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles. Ryan poured himself into the sonic mastery of the electric guitar, teaching himself everything he could possibly learn from Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. Upon discovering the work of The Grateful Dead and Crosby, Stills, and Nash during the summer of 2007, the early esthetic of their sound became fully realized. Brotherly vocal harmony and instrumental improvisation became an essential component of the art they wished to create.
In 2016, the Ashe Brothers made the decision to become full time performers. Although their beginnings were humble and challenges abundant, they pushed through, becoming locally recognized as a high quality act in and around Chicago. They've recorded and released an EP entitled "The Machine" and a full length album called "Melancholy Days." They are currently working on their second full length release. Each record is an effective demonstration of their experimentation with a broad range of musical inspirations, unified by their recognizable vocal harmonies. In 2019, they packed up their crossover and made the 30 hour drive to Southern California, where they still reside to this day. Having the unique opportunities to perform in Belgium and Ireland in late 2024, their momentum truly began to build traction, rendering the brothers as an international act. They perform most frequently in Southern California and biannually in Illinois. Have them make your next event!

Influences and inspiration
Our work is inspired by the sonic theatrics of Pink Floyd, the instrumental improvisation of The Grateful Dead, the vocal precision of Simon and Garfunkel, the grit and crunch of The Rolling Stones, with respect to the tonal excellence of Dire Straits, and the quippy songwriting style of The Beatles.
