About

Born and Raised in Miami FL, Artemis Raven adopted her professional name in 2003 and officially registered it in 2012. She is a performing artist that extends her sound. More associated with RNB, Pop, and soul, as a singer… her versatile approach to music allows her to dabble in Soul, Rock, and Country. As a child, her love for music started early. Musical influences include dynamic performers such as Tina Turner Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Betty Wright, Chaka Khan and many performers with dynamic showmanship.

During her teens she wasn’t known for singing. In fact, all she did was rap and dance. Somewhere between puberty, singing became another element. Mostly, compared to Mary J. Blige with her vocal ruggedness, college bound Artemis Raven became a part of MEISA (Music Entertainment Industry Student Association) and tried her hand at acting. She portrayed MC Lyte in a musical tribute stage play at Miami-Dade College. She got her first taste of performing for a Live Stage audience by singing Mary J Blige's No Drama that led to an encore. During this time period, she volunteered in fashion shows, took up journalism as a staff writer for the college's newspaper and became a movie critic.

After sitting on a potential music career, in 2003 she became a writer and singer with an upcoming independent label. She recorded one song and only co-wrote with other artist on the roster. However, Artemis’s private life took a turn. In 2004, she found out she’d be a mom. Music was put on hold to take on responsibilities.

She attempted a return to music by auditioning twice for American Idol, and once for XFactor USA. She continued her schooling and graduated with an AA degree in Criminal Justice Administration.  In 2010, she began doing demos and writing music again.  In 2011 she joined up with two other ladies and became a part of RAPtor Ent. This pop/ hip hop sound led them to become Grammy Nominated in 2015 for a song entitled "Rockin' 2 Da Moonlight" a song that Artemis had written for her solo project and gave to the group to re-write their own verses. In 2014, she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and continued recording and writing music.

As of recent she released her latest RNB project in 2018. A single that came accompanied with a first ever visual called Champagne VS Zodiacs. The single has been featured in many blogs and she’s graced radio interviews during this campaign from New York City, to Detroit on many state platforms. She became a radio personality briefly On excitement (link hidden) in 2018. Artemis is set to release more projects.
