August 13, 2026We hired Ariel and another caricature artist to provide complimentary three-to-five-minute drawings for guests at our City of Southfield Eat to the Beat lunchtime event, and they did a fantastic job! Everyone seemed to really enjoy the experience and loved seeing their caricatures come to life.
Ariel arrived early to set up and was reliable, professional, friendly, flexible, and incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. Communication was excellent, and he helped make the entire process seamless. He brought such a fun, engaging element to the event, and we hope he had as much fun as our guests did! We would happily recommend him for any event.

July 22, 2026Ariel is a very talented and professional artist. He arrived early, setup up and was ready to go at the agreed upon time. He was initially hired for 2 hours but we extended hi time by an additional 1.5 hours as more people lined up. He drew singles, couples and a few small families. Young and old everyone had a great time. Lots of big smiles and fun. Another nice thing is that for those who participated they all went home with a memento of the party. We're just looking for another opportunity to bring Ariel back. If you want people to remember your next event or party hire Ariel, you won't be disappointed.

June 29, 2026We hired Ariel (and his partner) for our engagement party and could not have been happier. They were a joy to work with from start to finish, easy to coordinate with, professional, and genuinely warm. The caricatures were a massive hit with our guests, who lined up all night and loved seeing themselves drawn.
What really stood out was the care they took with us. As the night was winding down, they made a point of grabbing my fiancé and me to make sure we got ours done too. We have a keepsake from our engagement party that we will treasure, and that thoughtfulness meant a lot.

Ariel has been making his living as a freelance artist and caricaturist in Southeast Michigan since 1990. He attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he majored in Graphic Communication and first started to develop his caricaturing and cartooning style. Clocking in at about 3-5 minutes per face, he averages about 1,500 - 2,000 caricatures per year. Besides his long list of clients, which includes Chrysler, GM, McDonald's, Detroit Tigers, Pepsi, Fieger Law, Greater Media Detroit, Progressive Insurance, U of M, Michigan State University, Bridgestone-Firestone, WDIV-TV, Stiiizy and Domino’s Pizza, he has also illustrated a few books.
Whether it's a small gathering of 20, or a corporate event of 200, Ariel is sure to delight and amuse your guests with his caricatures drawn live on the spot. Working quickly in marker, Ariel can produce a black & white "head & shoulders" caricature of each guest in 5 minutes or less. (Approximately 12-15 caricatures per hour.) A caricature makes a wonderful memento of your event that your guests will treasure for years to come. When completed, each drawing is placed in a clear plastic sleeve at no extra charge. A two hour minimum is required for any event and, depending on travel distance, there may be an additional travel fee.

Renowned New York/Broadway caricaturist, Al Hirschfeld, and MAD Magazine's Mort Drucker are by far my biggest influences.
1. 2-3 chairs. Armless, folding chairs work best.
2. Well-lit area or if not well-lit, easy access to an electrical outlet so I can plug in my light.
3. If outdoors, shade/shelter from direct sunlight and the elements, i.e.: wind and rain.
