We arrive early, dress to match your event's formality, and read the room — background elegance during dinner, more energy when the crowd wants it. Our repertoire spans jazz standards, torch ballads, bossa nova, and soulful takes on familiar favorites. We're happy to learn a special request with advance notice, and we tailor set lists to your theme.
About
Resonance is a Bay Area jazz duo built on a decade of shared bandstands. At its heart: a veteran jazz pianist with a lifetime of performance experience, and a vocalist/arranger whose credits include work with major-label artists in R&B and pop. Formerly performing as Aqua Jazz, the duo blends the elegance of the Great American Songbook with contemporary soul — timeless standards, lush harmony, and the kind of chemistry you can't rehearse. From cocktail hours to formal galas, Resonance brings sophistication that guests remember.
Additional booking notes
Self-contained and low-footprint. We can perform fully acoustic in intimate spaces or bring our own compact PA for larger rooms. We're flexible with venue-provided pianos/keyboards or can bring our own keyboard. Setup typically takes 30–45 min

Setup requirements
Minimal: one 6ft x 8ft performance area (flexible), access to one standard power outlet if amplification is needed, and two armless chairs or stools. For outdoor events, we request shade or cover for the instruments.
