Animal Farm

I booked Farmer Dave after seeing him and his band, Animal Farm, perform at a community event. I was so impressed with his ability to engage the children - he had everyone up dancing and singing. I booked him for a private event and he was once again amazing! Dave was easy to communicate with, helped with the vision for the event, and totally went with the flow of the atmosphere. He once again had the children dancing and overall provided great entertainment and music for our children's event. I look forward to working with Farmer Dave and Animal Farm in the future!!

David and Eric were great! They were on time, self- sufficient in setting up and then they played an amazing event. David certainly knows how to get kids up and dancing, he had the whole crowd, kids and adults, up on their feet moving. We had so many compliments on the event and entertainment and it was definitely a success because of Animal Farm! Can't wait to have them back for another event.

Farmer Dave came and did a musical performance at our preschool. The kids LOVED it! Dave himself was professional, commutative, and collaborative. Highly recommend Farm Dave for your next event!

We first heard Animal Farm at a local farmer's market over the summer in 2016 and my nearly 3 and nearly 1 year old daughters both liked them live, so we picked up their first CD, Run Free. It quickly became the ONLY thing we listened to... and I have to say, I loved it too. I've played and recorded with several bands over the years, so I think I'm a decent judge of talent, and those songs are fantastic. I actually listened to the record WITHOUT MY KIDS because I liked the songs so much.

So we hired Dave ("Farmer Dave") and Seth ("Sheriff") to provide entertainment for my daughter's 3rd birthday. They played for around an hour and managed to hold the attention of about 15 toddlers (no small feat). Their show is interactive and included opportunities for the kids to participate... they're terrific musicians and music educators and really know how to get kids engaged. For us, this was WAY better than planning a party at a bounce house or gym or kid's-oriented pizza place... the music is so much fun, and it helps show kids what playing and performing is really all about.

We continued to come out and see the band several different times (at public libraries, and even in a bar) over the next few years, and anxiously awaited release of their second record in 2018, "We Are One," which totally did not disappoint. In many respects, the production is more complex, as are the song's themes... and they're so good. My kids are learning how to think about climate change, how to manage feelings of frustration, taking life a little more slowly, how to get along with siblings, learning geography, and how to embrace our universal humanity through these songs. There's lots of good children's music records and performers out there, but Animal Farm is special. I'd love to see them come to Hawaii some day, where we now live.

We hired Animal Farm to play at two of our son's birthday parties after seeing them perform many times. They were very flexible and easy to work with on planning, and they created two incredibly special personalized concerts for our son, which he and his friends loved. They did a great job getting the kids up and moving, dancing, singing along, and playing instruments. The band members are great musicians and truly nice people!
