Andrew Oswinkle is an exciting young classical guitarist in the Baltimore area. Classically trained and award winning, Andrew plays a variety of musical genres including classical, flamenco, jazz, and pop/rock arrangements for the the guitar which are perfect for any wedding, private party, or restaurant. For online engagements:
-communicate adequately with all necessary parties before and during the event
-have high-quality sound
-maintain a solid connection
-be able to communicate through multiple different video platforms (zoom, google hangouts, etc...) depending on the nature of the service
For in Person:
-show up early
-communicate adequately with all necessary parties before and during the event
-Put on a high-quality, personal performance that will captivate an audience or add subtle charm to your wedding or event
-interact cordially with the audience and/or guests
*If you are paying extra for a one-of-a-kind arrangement, you need to notify me of your selection and have booked me at least 2 weeks in advance. You can expect a performance of a charming representation of your selection, arranged for guitar, and you can ask to receive a sample of it the week before the event.
Andrew Oswinkle was born and raised in Baltimore and is currently attending Peabody Conservatory for his masters in classical guitar performance under scholarship. He has placed 3rd in the 2019 Philadelphia classical Guitar Competition and placed as a semi-finalist in his first time competing in the 2019 Appalachian GuitarFest Solo Guitar Competition. As well as playing standard classical repertoire, Andrew also plays a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, rock, praise, and pop and is an avid guitar teacher and performer in the Baltimore area. He has had the opportunity to receive master classes from renown guitarists such as Manuel Barrueco, William Kanengiser, and David Russel which have greatly influenced his playing. He has also played for various events in the area such as the Baltimore Book Festival, the Aisquith Arts Festival, The Baltimore Bach Fest as well as a number of solo recitals in the Baltimore area.
