Overview
Born in Ontario Canada, Anders has covered a lot of ground. From singer in Cuban supergroups to singing and playing guitar in touring bands in Europe, China, Africa, Australia and beyond he has always kept his career moving. Anders appeared on NBCs THE VOICE season 18 where he was chosen to join pop superstar Nick Jonas’ team. He has played legendary venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Austin City Limits among many many others. Anders is extremely well versed in a wide variety of covers and styles of music and even sings in three languages.

Anders was phenomenal! I booked him and his band for a corporate event and everyone including myself had an amazing experience. I appreciate that he's versatile, so we listened to all types of music. Anders and his band literally was the best thing we could have had for our party. They had such a great variety of songs, interacted with the crowd, and kept us jammin! Not to mention, everyone was very friendly, respectable, and ON TIME. If I could rate more than five stars I would. Love Them!

Anders and his band played at our son’s wedding in San Marcos. The music was fantastic, everyone danced and enjoyed the music. Anders was wonderful to work with and was so nice and accommodating. Hiring Anders was one of the best decisions we made! We highly recommend this band. He is everyone’s new favorite band.

July 18, 2024Best Event Ever!
We booked Anders Drerup for a tenant appreciation event for our office building. The group was awesome! Our tenants loved the live music and song selection. Our property backs up to a pickleball court that has a playground, and the children there were dancing around and making song requests. The band even played rock n' roll versions of Wheels on the Bus and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for them, which was hilarious. Many people commented on how much they enjoyed the band and that it was the best tenant event we've ever had. I highly recommend them!

What to expect
I am punctual and prepared, if a performance calls for extra equipment I will show up with it and possess the skills to run it. My performances and set lists can be tailored to each client. My performance style has been described as warm and engaging but if I am expected to be "heard but not heard from" I am well versed in delivering that product. If dress code is necessary I am comfortable in everything from casual friday to black tie affair.
About
Born in Ontario Canada, Anders has covered a lot of ground. From vocalist in Cuban supergroups to playing pedal steel in touring bands across Europe to rock guitarist in bands touring China he has always kept his career moving. At the age of 38 Anders holds an impressive resume including operating a successful recording studio and teaching practice, critically acclaimed stage acting work, credits on more albums than he has fingers and toes and even sang his way to a spot on Nick Jonas' team on NBC's The Voice. Versatility has always been one of Drerup’s strongest skills and he can move seamlessly between several styles of music (and even different languages) without breaking a sweat. His original music has been described as Americana in that it pays frequent and respectful visits to the great American styles: Country, Blues, R&B and Funk. Always with a signature touch of wit and humour. Anders plays and tours with some of Austin's finest musicians. They are just as comfortable wrapping a room around their finger with an original song as they are whipping a room into a frenzy with time tested covers and do so with 100% of their considerable skill and talent. Anders lives in Austin Texas and continues, as always, to work at making the world a better place through music.
Additional booking notes
I own and operate a PA system suitable for an audience of approximately 500 people. I do not provide lighting but I am able to rent and run as much or little as is necessary to fill the requirements of the event.
