March 19, 2026We hired a cellist for our wedding and she was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, which we really appreciated. On the day of, she played beautifully, however, the volume was extremely low and unfortunately most of our guests weren’t able to hear her during the ceremony. In hindsight, having her attend the rehearsal or doing a sound check may have helped avoid this. Overall, a pleasant experience in terms of professionalism, but I do wish the sound had carried better so guests could fully enjoy the music.

I am a cellist with a Masters in Performance from the University of Southern California. I teach and perform mostly in the Inland empire but am willing to travel into LA County, Orange County an dRiverside County. I am principal cellist of the San Bernardino Symphony, a position I have held for 30 years. I am also a lecturer at Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San Bernardino and Chaffey College and I am an adjunct studio instructor at Cal Baptist University and Riverside City College. Prior to my moving to the Los Angeles I lived in Bangkok, Thailand for two years. I played in a string quartet that toured southeast Asia (including Viet Nam) and I had a Rockefeller Fellowship to teach at the School of Fine Arts, a prestigious Arts school in Bangkok. After that I lived 2 years in Heidelberg, Germany. I won a position to play in the Heidelberg Stadtisches Oper Orchester. I learned how to speak both Thai and German.
The one thing that I request is a flat seated chair with no arms.

I have played for President Clinton, have been on MTV Punk'd, have played at the Universal Amphitheater, Hollywood for Charlie Zaa, a very popular singer in the Latin music world.
