January 7, 2019Amor do Samba's performance was an amazing attention catcher at my parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary. My guests just plain loved the show, and I could not keep them off the dance floor, as they were eager to join in the dance right away. The girls are plain gorgeous. Costumes are top notch. They really put on a great show. We all had unforgettable time and took lots of pictures. I do have to mention, it was quite a bit of fun to plan our performance with Tanilee, the team director. It was a pleasure working with her as she helped me realize my vision of the show. Tanile is very prompt, and responded to my text messages and emails within minutes, thus earning my trust from the get-go. Her hourly rate is very reasonable compared to other companies I had reached out to. I highly recommend these folks to anyone looking to add energy and excitement to all events.

January 2, 2019We lived for 6 years in Brazil. We now live in the Bay Area, but we decided to bring a little Brazilian flavor to our New Years Eve Party. We hired 3 spectacular dancers to make a surprise Samba performance in pure Carnaval fashion. Anastasia, Nikki and Guy showed up and really elevated the energy at our party. They got people dancing and were excellent performers. We highly recommend them.

Tanilee Amor is founder & artistic director of Amor do Samba, a San Francisco dance company established in 2011. Tanilee studied dance at UCLA with a specialization in Afro - Latin dance and art as a social change agent. She has studied Afro-Latin dance in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Uganda and Belize. After performing under Brazilian and Peruvian dance companies, Tanilee started Amor do Samba. She has curated Brazilian events for Google and helped produce events for the LA Sacred Music Festival, San Francisco Ethnic dance Festival.
Tanilee holds a Bachelor of Arts in World Arts and Cultures from UCLA and Masters in Public Administration and International Management from the Monterey Institute of International studies, a school of Middlebury.
Amor Do Samba consists of over 12 experienced dancers with a variety of dance styles and backgrounds; many are Brazilian and hail from Latin America directly. Amor do Samba is heavily rooted in the San Francisco Afro-Latino and Brazilian music community, and is privileged to perform along side multiple brazilian percussion groups, and talented bands represent the Afro-Latino music genres of today. Book us and see for yourself! This top quality team hails from Rio - Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, and the U.S. with African American roots and lineage from Peru, Brazil, and Mexico.
PRIVATE & SECURE DRESSING ROOMS: All performances require dressing and/or warm up rooms or accommodations for dancers and musicians. Restrooms (public or private) are not suitable dressing rooms.
WATER: Please provide water for performing artists
SOUND SYSTEM: We provide the playlist, you provide the sound system. If hiring recorded music a speaker system and hook up to a cell phone with the playlist is required.
