Amancay

One of Amancay's key strengths as a performer is her ability to adapt to the given environment. Whatever the tone is of your function, she can accommodate it. Belly dance is perfect for small spaces and large stages, and can be as big or small as the space requires.
Amancay guarantees an artist who will be punctual, prepared, and pleasant to work with.

Amancay Kugler is a Chicago based aerialist and belly dancer. She started belly dancing in college, focusing primarily on tribal fusion style. Since then she has incorporated several other styles of dance into her work, and has expanded on her love of fabrics in dance. Her primary aerial disciplines are Lyra (aerial hoop) and sling.

Amancay is the Executive Director of Yes Ma'am Circus, a contemporary performing group that produces full length shows, often reimagining classic works of literature with a modern twist.

It is ideal that the dancer be lit entirely from start to finish of the piece, so that the audience can enjoy the piece.
Stages or raised platforms are ideal for visibility, but are not required for the act to be performed. If desired, the dancer can walk about the space while performing, although this will require advance notice of at least 2 weeks time.
The venue must have a sound system into which an iPhone can be plugged. Someone must be available to press 'play' before the piece commences.
A clean, smooth floor is required. Marley is ideal, but not required. Carpeting is difficult to work with, and highly discouraged.

All pieces can be tailored to fit large or small spaces, but 2 weeks advance warning is required to do so. Some pieces do not fit well in certain spaces, so giving room specifications to the dancer ahead of time will result in a better show. Ideally, the dancer would visit ahead of time.
