What to expect
Expect elegant live music tailored to your event and your vision.
Whether you're planning a mountain wedding in the Smokies, a church ceremony, a garden reception, a corporate gathering, or an intimate private event, I work with clients to create a musical atmosphere that feels personal and memorable.
My repertoire spans classical favorites, hymns and gospel music, Celtic and fiddle traditions, instrumental versions of contemporary songs, movie themes, and popular music arranged for strings. Couples are welcome to select from my existing repertoire, provide a preferred musical style or genre, or share specific songs that are meaningful to them.
As a solo performer using professionally produced accompaniment tracks, I create the rich and elegant sound of a larger string ensemble while maintaining the flexibility and affordability of a solo musician. The result is a full, immersive musical experience that works beautifully for ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and special events.
Clients can expect clear communication, professional presentation, punctual arrival, and a seamless performance experience from beginning to end.
When providing sound equipment, I typically require approximately 30 minutes for setup prior to the event and 30 minutes for breakdown afterward. My sound system comfortably accommodates gatherings of up to approximately 80 guests. Larger events may require venue-provided sound reinforcement or coordination with the event's audio provider.
About
Raised in the South and now based in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains, I bring together two musical traditions that have shaped this region for generations: classical strings and Appalachian fiddle music.
My musical roots began in bluegrass and fiddle tunes before formal classical training expanded my repertoire and performance experience. The result is a style that moves comfortably between Vivaldi and Vaughan Williams, Irish jigs and gospel hymns, contemporary love songs and timeless wedding classics.
For more than fifteen years, I performed and worked alongside musicians connected to the Huntsville Symphony while developing experience as both a performer and arranger. Today I specialize in elegant instrumental music for weddings, private events, and celebrations throughout East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains.
As a solo artist, I create the rich sound of an ensemble by performing alongside professionally produced backing tracks that I carefully select, arrange, or record myself. This allows couples to enjoy the fullness and emotion of a string quartet experience with the flexibility of a solo musician.
Whether you envision a mountainside rendition of *Come Thou Fount*, a classical processional by Bach or Pachelbel, or an instrumental version of your favorite modern song, I work to create music that feels personal, memorable, and uniquely yours.
While violin is my primary instrument, I am a multi-instrumentalist with a particular passion for the string family and for music that bridges tradition, place, and story.

Influences and inspiration
My musical influences reflect the intersection of classical performance, Appalachian tradition, and contemporary string arranging.
Classically, I have long admired artists such as Itzhak Perlman for his expressive artistry and timeless musicianship. My approach to tone, phrasing, and interpretation has been deeply shaped by the classical violin tradition and the great works of composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Pachelbel.
At the same time, I grew up surrounded by the musical traditions of the American South. Bluegrass fiddle tunes, gospel hymns, Celtic melodies, and Appalachian folk music remain an important part of my musical voice and continue to influence my repertoire and performance style.
Groups such as Celtic Woman and Vitamin String Quartet have been particularly influential in demonstrating how strings can bridge genres and bring new life to contemporary music. Their work helped inspire my own passion for creating instrumental arrangements of modern songs while preserving the warmth and elegance of live strings.
I am equally inspired by the timeless romance of standards such as Moon River and Till There Was You, the cinematic storytelling found in modern works such as City of Stars, and the enduring beauty of hymns such as Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing and Be Thou My Vision.
My goal as a performer is to bring these traditions together in a way that feels both timeless and distinctly rooted in East Tennessee: where classical strings, mountain music, sacred traditions, and contemporary favorites can all share the same stage.
