Notes About Pricing
Every event is unique — pricing depends on travel distance, event type, and time of year. Local events during non-holiday seasons are often much less than national bookings.

Typical Ranges (non-holiday):
• Wedding Reception Strolling Magic: $1,000 – $1,750
• Corporate / Private Strolling Magic: $1,000 – $3,000
• Conference or Gala Stage Show: $2,000 – $4,000
• Keynote / Speaking Engagements: $2,000 – $6,000
• House Party or Small Gathering: $750 – $1,500
• Community / Public Event: $750 – $1,500

Hi, I'm Alyx. I've been a magician for over thirty years. Fun fact, I performed my first paid show when I was only 7 years old. It was for a kindergarten class and I got paid $20. That day changed everything. :)

Although I've performed all my life, I also worked as an engineer and as an instructor in electrical engineering at a Big Ten University. For the last four years, I've been using what I learned from engineering design to design miracles and moments of wonder for clients across the US, in Canada, Central America, and Europe.

My favorite thing in the world is to make people laugh and to give them moments they'll remember for a lifetime.

And when I'm not performing magic or delivering keynotes to professional groups, you can find me in the Adirondacks or Vermont, hiking, skiing, climbing, or paddling with my three awesome kiddos. I also really love to bake homemade pizza.

Tech Requirements:

For most smaller events, you don't need to provide anything except a space for me to perform. I bring my own sound system when needed, and I can even bring lighting. For cocktail style magic, there are no technical requirements.

PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Sound System - a mixer/amplification/speaker system that is of good quality and that can provide adequate sound for the venue.
Inputs - Alyx will provide 2x Wireless headset microphones and an iPad for playback and will require 3x inputs on a mixing board.
Staging - Show can performed on any area that is ideally 10 feet wide by 8 feet deep. Any steps with railings must be on the sides of stages.
House lighting is usually adequate; a spotlight is great, but not necessary (with operator).
If the room is rectangular, it is best to place the stage in the middle of the long side of the rectangle. The room becomes more intimate and makes for a better show.

OTHER

To ensure the most intimate show, the banquet tables should be set up as close to the stage as possible and as close to one another as possible.
It is also recommended that table centerpieces should not be more than one foot high.
For best results, Alyx should not be scheduled to perform during the main course nor while waitstaff is still serving.

ARRIVAL
Talent will arrive no less than 1 hour prior to show time (or in many cases, prior to the entire event) to set the stage and sound and to check lighting.
