Alyssa McQuaid is a Canadian singer/songwriter and dynamic live performer whose music career has been built on a passion for connecting with audiences through powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and energetic live performances. With nearly two decades of experience performing across Western Canada and beyond, Alyssa has developed a reputation as a versatile entertainer capable of captivating audiences in both intimate acoustic settings and large festival stages.

Alyssa began performing professionally at a young age and quickly established herself as a dedicated songwriter and recording artist. Her early work led to the release of two albums: Who Am I (2009), recorded in Calgary, Alberta, and This Is Your Song (2012), recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. These projects showcased Alyssa’s strong country and singer-songwriter influences while highlighting her ability to deliver emotional storytelling through music.

Her songwriting and performances soon began to receive recognition across North America. In 2010, Alyssa was selected as a featured performer in the Alberta Music Association’s Untapped Talent in Alberta tour, a program designed to highlight emerging artists in the province. In 2011, she was named a songwriting finalist in The Nashville Connection competition in Greenville, South Carolina, gaining international exposure for her work as a songwriter.

Throughout her career, Alyssa has performed at numerous venues and festivals across Canada. One of her career highlights includes performing on the main stage at Canadian Country Weekend, where she opened for artists including Aaron Pritchett and the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. These performances helped establish her as a confident and engaging live performer capable of connecting with diverse audiences.

While Alyssa continues to perform select solo engagements, much of her current work is as the lead vocalist of Southern Alberta party and events band Coyote Junction. Formed more than a decade ago, Coyote Junction has become one of the region’s most sought-after live entertainment acts for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and community celebrations.

With Alyssa at the front of the stage, Coyote Junction delivers high-energy performances that blend classic rock, country, and crowd-favourite hits spanning multiple decades.
