What to Expect
The Aly Rose Trio stresses professionalism, punctuality, and quality above all else. They are responsive, communicative, concise, adaptive, and determined to meet any needs required of the venue if hired. In regards to the sound, they primarily provide a refined, mature, and digestible live music experience. Their sound can blend very comfortably into the ambiance of the event or venue, while simultaneously providing a fresh, exciting and interesting musical experience for those who want to listen more intently.
The band performs a large number of cover songs re-arranged in very creative, often fun and surprising ways. Their repertoire covers many different decades of music across a wide range of styles, from pop and rock to folk and jazz, all re-imagined in a sophisticated yet digestible style. They will gladly accept song requests, and they have a large catalog of songs in their back pocket should the moment call for something special.
The band's adaptive nature makes them appropriate for nearly any occasion. They can perform an entire set with acoustic guitars and a soft, intimate sound, or expand to a full band, incorporating other talented musicians to cover drums, bass, and other instruments. They are equally at home providing background ambiance in the corner of a small restaurant, or hosting a dance party as a full band giving a high energy performance, and they can adjust to any shade in between, making them the perfect band for multi-faceted events, where both moods may be called for at different times during the event.
The Aly Rose Trio is made up of three seasoned musicians deeply committed to their art and their careers as professional performers. Aly Rose has been singing passionately from a young age, studying and performing in private lessons, choirs, acapella groups, and a number of small bands over the years. Through a combination and balance of practice, academic study, passion, and emulating her favorite artists, she has developed a refined sound all her own, able to deliver lyrics with smooth subtlety or belt out powerful passages with ease.
Multi-instrumentalists Justin Leonard and David Gray have been performing, recording, writing, and producing together in various projects for nearly ten years, and their musical chemistry makes the often difficult task of blending two guitars seem effortless, creating spaces and textures with an exceptional level of diversity.
The three musicians began working together in June of 2017, taking time to build a sound worthy of presenting to their community. In 2018, they debuted their live show, and performed frequently (2-3 performances a week) in their local scene, from music venues, cafes, and restaurants, to wineries and breweries. For 2019, the band is eager to deliver a refined, mature sound to a larger array of venues and events.
