Alexander Charles is an electrifying figure on the stage, whose performances have been described as "enthralling", "high-energy", and "infectiously entertaining". Whether he is leading one of his many groups or performing solo, Alexander's emphatic love for his craft is sure to enrapture even the most cold of audiences. His broad range of musical abilities has given his events a dynamic reputation, with concerts frequently spanning dozens of genres and instruments. His original music has been lauded for its sincerity and intimacy, and his unique creative approach brings new, charmingly imaginative renditions of some of your favorite songs from the past 60 years. Alexander Xavier Charles is a skilled vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, educator, bandleader and entrepreneur with over twenty years of musical experience across a wide array of genres and styles. Since his Carnegie Hall debut in 2019, Charles’ eclectic career has brought him to stages across North America and Europe, and his vivacious approach to his craft has earned him a reputation as both a virtuosic performer and a truly unforgettable stage presence. He has performed for audiences including President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Pope Benedict, while he and his groups have shared the stage with such musicians as gospel duo Mary Mary, the Rebirth Brass Band, and pop icon Stevie Wonder. His compositions have been performed by some of their genre’s leading ensembles, and as the founder and director of the ALXC Entertainment Group has worked side-by-side with some of the country’s foremost Fortune 500 companies to provide musical experiences for a total audience of over 1 million people. Alexander holds both a Bachelor’s and a Masters in Music Performance and Pedagogy from West Virginia University and Florida State University, respectively, and currently resides in San Diego, California where he is deeply involved as both a performer, music coach, and educator. He is a veteran of the United States Navy Bands and a brother of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, an organization dedicated to the advancement of music in America.

I can perform either as a solo act, a duo, or alongside one of my various groups, with setlists custom-tailored to your event and audience. My shows can either be performed completely acoustically, or with amplification and power provided free-of-charge.
