Althea Dawn

Althea Dawn is a singer,songwriter, composer, music producer from NYC. Althea has always had a passion for writing &the creative arts.

Althea has always been very shy and only had a few close friends in highschool. However, writing allowed her to open up and express herself (link hidden)rough writing poems,stories,and plays,she was able to open up a new world for herself where her mind could roam free and her words could flow freely without worry of outside judgement and criticism.

After graduating from highschool, Althea went on to pursue her higher studies at (link hidden)seph college,in which she majored in (link hidden)though,she did not have a passion for Accounting,she believed it to be a good and stable career choice that had the potential to earn her a good income.

While in college,she was diagnosed with multiple (link hidden)e symptoms of MS caused her to become physically and emotionally drained,to the point where she could no longer continue attending college in person.

However,determined to earn her degree,Althea decided to continue her studies online at "Colorado State University" via an online sector of the (link hidden)thea became very reclusive and depressed due to having to deal with the sudden onset of symptoms from multiple sclerosis. During this time she began to hear original musical compositions and lyrics in her head. The music that she was hearing was very comforting and uplifting to Althea, especially during such a stressful and depressing time in her life. This inspired Althea to compose and write several (link hidden)e would take her recorder and humm out the composition parts and sing the hooks that she was hearing. From there, she would finish filling in the composition and the rest of lyrics to create individual songs.

Althea Dawn graduated from Colorado State University with her accounting (link hidden)ter graduating from college she worked with several different music producers to bring her songs to life. Althea released her debut single "Sin City" in 2020.

Althea loves to write,compose,and create music that uplifts the mind,connects with the soul, and inspires others.Each song that she writes and composes tells a (link hidden)e loves to connect with her listeners by narrarating stories, sending messages,and teaching life lessons through her music that people from all walks of life can relate to.
